A Smile

GENES NUEVA MABEL, a 2 year old girl where the pains of operation can hardly be seen in her. She sees herself as the most beautiful creation that can derailed love, hears her voice sings like no one can mellow a cruel heart, and alluring smile that culprits life’s burden.

“One child in 700 is born with a cleft. It is the fourth most common birth defect, and first common facial birth defect”, according to widesmiles .

For thousands of children born with physical defects, most of them grew up with inferiorities. Perfectly able or not, complete or not- has its own insecurities and discontentment. But for children like them, the feeling of outcast starts within the family.

Many parents still feel so alone and shame of this case so as the child have this feelings of unwelcome and havoc with self-esteem. Others find that surviving from bullying and teasing gives them inner strength.

Yet, the real point is when the family starts and learned to love and appreciate their presence so as the surroundings would be. Teach them to recognize that beauty is not about what you see but their beauty within.

This world is not just for perfect but for all God’s conception. We all belong here and none is outcast.
